Museum Thyssen x Santa & Cole, Madrid - Retail & Exhibition
Location: Barcelona
Year: 2024
Client: El Santo
It is a concept project for Santa&Cole’s corner in the Thyssen museum, showcasing and enhancing their existing designs. The project involves a creative reinterpretation of the design philosophy to present it in a way that will fascinate visitors and convey the brand's unique identity. Our aim is to transform the museum corner into an interactive experience that not only highlights the brand's existing design, but also tells the story of Neoseries Collection by Santa&Cole, engaging visitors and leaving a lasting impression.
Neoseries is an innovative approach to the reproduction of works of art that guarantees exact recreation while remaining faithful to the original format. Created in a laboratory under the supervision of the original artist (or their designated heirs), these reproductions meticulously consider the unique characteristics of the artwork, such as light and the artist's brushstrokes. The Neoseries reproductions maintain fidelity to the original in terms of size, color, and texture, delivering an authentic experience that mirrors the original work.
Highlight the technology,
appreciate the texture,
call to action
We reimagined the museum corner with emphasis on technology, aiming to guide visitors in recognizing how Santa&Cole meticulously reproduces artworks using advanced printing techniques. Our intention is to direct attention towards the genuine brushstrokes, textures, and colors of the recreated pieces. Our goal is to foster interaction between individuals and the displayed artwork, encouraging them to explore unique and special details through magnifying glasses. We invite visitors to interact with the artworks physically, promoting a tactile experience that allows them to feel the textures firsthand.
Remaining true to the existing art curation, our focus was on enhancing the visibility and prominence of both products and artworks from various perspectives. We achieved this by making adjustments to the arrangement and strategically illuminating the artwork from both sides within the showcase. This approach specifically addressed the reduced impact observed when viewed from the garden, ensuring the visibility and appreciation of every piece.
